The FED (Fuel Efficient Demonstrator):

The FED employs plenty of carbon fiber and aluminum as a weight-reducing measure, which helps give this four-seater a 30-percent improvement in fuel economy over current military vehicles. Yet even after such a significant increase in efficiency, the FED only gets seven miles per gallon. Under the carbon fiber hood, the FED is powered by a turbocharged and supercharged Cummins four-cylinder engine putting out 200 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. That helps produce enough power to allow the 15,000-pound FED to have a top speed of almost 75 miles per hour. (Source)

Ban Toy Soldier Cupcakes

MIL-STD-03-13-2013

They are a menace which threaten the sanctity of gun free zones and weapons policy!

Toy-Soldier-Cupcakes

At least that’s what a nine year old boy from Michigan found out recently:

Schall Elementary School principal Susan Wright called the parents at home and said the cupcakes were insensitive in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shooting. School staff pulled off the Army men before they were served.

Full story over at CBS News.

When is garbage like this going to end?  School staff needs to be put in their place and reprimanded when poor decisions like this are made.

Comedy central shows how rough these guys have it:

drones-iphone-appPretty funny.  All jokes aside, I’m sure the job is highly stressful and requires skilled operators…. that said, did you see they created a new military medal for drone pilots that ranks above the Bronze Star and Purple Heart? According to the article there is pressure to downgrade the medal, so we will see what happens.

Syria needs to catch up; “Yeah!” was a single in 2004:

UsherI don’t know that much about the conflict over there to make any clever jokes, but it looks like those guys are having a good time.

I love how the gunshot at 1:26 set off the chants and following rain of gunfire both locally and off in the distance.  I wonder what those guys that responded to the gunfire were dancing to?  Some early Gaga perhaps?
